TRAINING SEGMENTS AT A GLANCE:
POWER SKATING - Want to skate faster? Well then you’re going to love our daily power skating segments. We’re going to start with drills and exercises that introduce fundamental mechanics and build a foundation of confidence by developing correct technique and form. The skater will then progressively be challenged through dynamic components of skating, ultimately being pushed outside their comfort zone to achieve new levels of performance.
FUNDAMENTALS – Each day of camp 1 hour of training will be focused on fundamental skills (puck handling, skating, shooting). Relative to our skating segment, we’ll stress proper technique, progress to more challenging drills and review as camp proceeds. The goal is to expose the player to perfect practice and develop memory through repetition.
SMALL AREA GAMES - By competitively confining players into smaller areas of the ice, individuals receive heightened puck play, and are forced to make quicker decisions while encompassing concepts of positional play. These drills are truly a FUN way to enhance the participants learning experience.
GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT CUP - Building up to the last session, our instructors will be evaluating throughout the camp to place players into evenly matched teams who will go head-to-head for the “Global Entertainment Cup”.
